Strawberry Crumb Bars Recipe: Sweet & Easy Treat

Ingredients
  

  • 1 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter, cold
  • 2 cups chopped strawberries
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon lemon juice

Method
 

  1. Preheat oven to 350°F (180°C)
  2. In a food processor or bowl, combine flour, sugar, and butter until crumbly
  3. Press mixture into a 13x9-inch greased pan
  4. Bake 12–15 minutes
  5. In a bowl, mix strawberries, cornstarch, and lemon juice
  6. Spread filling over hot crust
  7. Sprinkle remaining crumb mixture over filling
  8. Bake 25–30 minutes or until golden and set
  9. Let cool completely
  10. Cut into 12 bars

Notes

Use cold butter for best flaky texture
Can use frozen thawed strawberries
Test doneness at 30 minutes
Store in airtight container up to 3 days
