Ingredients

  • 2.5 cups watermelon, cut into 2-inch cubes
  • 2 teaspoons Tajin seasoning (contains chili, salt, and acid)
  • 1 lime, freshly cut
  • Pinch of flaky sea salt
  • 6 wooden skewers, pre-soaked in water for 30 minutes
  • Mint leaves (optional, substitute with basil or cilantro)

Method

  1. Peel the watermelon and cut into 2-inch cubes, discarding excess rind.
  2. Submerge wooden skewers in water for 30 minutes to prevent burning.
  3. Thread 4–5 watermelon cubes onto each skewer, packing them closely.
  4. Sprinkle Tajin seasoning evenly over the skewers.
  5. Drizzle fresh lime juice over the seasoned skewers.
  6. Add a pinch of flaky sea salt to taste.
  7. Garnish with optional mint leaves for freshness.

Notes

Soak skewers for at least 30 minutes before assembling.
Use fresh lime juice for optimum flavor; avoid bottled.
Optional herbs provide vegan readiness if used without cheese-based toppings.
Skewers serve best immediately after assembly to prevent fruit from slipping.
